WINE AND WICK ON SATURDAY

The fourth annual Appalachian Festival will have a new addition this year. People will be able to make their own candles, hand rolled and made from honeycomb bees’ wax. This is an all-natural product made from the honeybee. Honeybees and other native pollinators are essential to our sustainable future.

Come out to the festival and support the Blue Mountain 4-H Livestock Club as they assist in rolling the candles. There will be areas such as the “Pollinator Garden” and the Farm Food Stand for some light refreshments which will be located on the fairgrounds. See the native pollinators in action in the garden as they pollinate the blooms to come. The pollinator garden was developed by the Blue Mountain 4-H Livestock Club.

The festival will also include wine, beer, spirit samples, food, live entertainment and craft from multiple vendors in the area. The festival opens to the public at 11 a.m. on Saturday on the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds. Tickets for the Appalachian Festival are available at www.eventbrite.com.
