Two new performances at Penn’s Peak

Penn’s Peak has announced two additional shows to its concert lineup.

• Live Dead ‘69 performs Grateful Dead at Woodstock 50th Anniversary and The 50th Anniversary All-Star Tribute to The Flying Burrito Bros. at 8 p.m. Nov. 8.

Live Dead ‘69 is a different type of band as they combine styles from Grateful Dead and add their own twist. The band typically doesn’t follow the traditional band rehearsal, as they believe to ‘live in the moment.’

Live Dead ‘69 will perform Grateful Dead’s entire Woodstock set. An additional set will follow which will consist of favorite covers and improvisations.

The 50th Anniversary All-Star Tribute to The Flying Burrito Bros. will explore the orgins of contemporary legends such as The Eagles, their forbears The Byrds, and their descendants The Flying Burrito Bros. The band, founded in 1969, went through some changes, but continued well into the 1990s.

• Wynonna & The Big House is set to perform at Penn’s Peak at 8 p.m. Oct. 4.

Respected by the millions of fans who are drawn to her music and undeniable talent, Wynonna’s rich and commanding voice has sold over 30-million albums worldwide spanning her remarkable 34-year career.

Wynonna was once dubbed by Rolling Stone as “the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline.”

Wynonna and her band The Big Noise, led by her husband/drummer/producer, Cactus Moser, released their debut full-length album in February 2016 via Curb Records to critical acclaim.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com, the Penn’s Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant and Bar. Penn’s Peak Box Office and Roadies Restaurant ticket sales are walk-up only, no phone orders.
