State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 1:59 p.m. on May 3 at the intersection of Penn Street and Fairyland Road in Franklin Township.

Troopers said Tony Priestley, 62, of West Chester, Chester County, driving a 2017 Ford Explorer, was attempting to cross Fairyland Road while on Penn Street after stopping for a posted stop sign. Joan M. Polk, 59, of Lehighton, was westbound on Fairyland Road driving a 2018 Jeep Compass. As both vehicles were crossing in the intersection Polk’s vehicle struck Priestley’s vehicle.

Priestly and his passenger, Dorothy Priestly, 61, and Polk, were not injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Priestley for the crash.
