Anthony, Wheeler named to Landmark All-Conference team

Palmerton graduate and Moravian College senior Jonathan Anthony was recently named to the Men’s First Team All-Landmark Conference team after his performance at the 2019 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Anthony captured first place in the discus and set a new meet record in the process. The former Blue Bomber earned gold with a distance of 45.58 meters, or 149 feet, six inches, breaking the mark of 45.41 that was set in 2012. Anthony, who helped the Greyhounds claim their fifth straight Landmark Conference title, was also named to the Landmark Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll.

In addition to Anthony, former Marian standout Camaryn Wheeler also received First Team All-Landmark honors as part of the women’s 400 relay team that finished first at the conference meet. Wheeler and her three teammates won 4x100 in a time of 49.69. Wheeler, a sophomore, also placed fourth in the meet in the 200 with a time of 27.01, and sixth in the 100 in 13.58.
