May 6, 1959 — Tom Niadna and Leon Lenick hit back-to-back home runs during a six-run fifth inning to help Marian outslug Summit Hill by a 12-10 score. Niadna finishes the contest with three hits and two runs. His homer comes after Lenick’s three-run blast. Hank Epler contributes three hits and three runs for the Colts, coached by Hugh “Wink” Gallagher, while Lenick and Frank Hager end the contest with two hits apiece. Jack Gillespie also chips in with a hit and three runs. For the Hillers, Tom McHugh ends with three hits and a pair of runs.
