We need to come back to God

Hmmm, I couldn’t have said it better myself! Thank you to Mr. Walter Camier of Weatherly for his letter about Notre Dame!

Our dear USA, AND the world, need to come back to God. It isn’t only the total corruption of our own government and its people, but, of the rest of the world, also.

I’ve been afraid for our grand nation for many a year, and it just keeps getting worse, and our churches are failing and falling — they don’t even seem to preach and try to talk to the people about coming back to God, nor do they try to spread the word that our government leaders need to come back to God and use prayer before all their meetings and discussions about laws and our Constitution and everything that was set up right for us way back in the beginning by our forefathers who were true Christians and God-fearing men of wisdom, and now, we have presidential wannabes trying to tear it all apart.

I can’t imagine the horror and turmoil that could be put upon us for our very awful disobedience!

I DO remember the punishments meted out upon the people in those long, long-ago days and times of the Bible, when the people left God.

Four hundred years of slavery in Egypt, fire and brimstone raining down upon Sodom and Gomorrah, and the terrible slaying of the firstborn during passover, can you imagine that? Oh, there were more, many more, punishments; I’ll not go into them all.

I truly fear whatever it will be, for our God is very loving, kind and patient, however, his punishment is most terrible.

We, America and the world, need to come back to God.

What more can I say? I love God, I believe in God, and our USA, and yes, families, they are the cornerstone and backbone of our nation, and even they are falling apart.

May God help us all,

Ruthann Schlect
