• A two-vehicle crash was reported on April 24 about 1:58 p.m. at the intersection of Pohopoco and Pine Run roads in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Lynford M. Myer, 68, of Jim Thorpe, driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado truck, stopped for a stop sign on Pine Run Road then pulled out in front of a 2008 Honda CRV driven by Charles J. Fierro, 59, of Kunkletown, who was westbound on Pohopoco Road. The Honda then struck the Chevrolet.

There were no injuries. Troopers cited Myer for stop sign violation.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:05 p.m. on April 18 along Forest Inn Road in Towamensing Township. Grace L. Hillard, 78, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2019 Kia Sorrento northbound and negotiating a left curve when she looked in her rear view mirror and observed a rear door partially open. She slammed on her brakes with the rear end of the vehicle spinning clockwise, onto the right shoulder where the undercarriage made impact with a ditch. The vehicle then made a second impact with the front bumper hitting a tree.

Hillard sustained a neck injury due to her seat belt but refused medical attention. The Kia was towed from the scene.

She was cited for the crash.
