April 23, 1964 — Coaldale receives multiple firsts from George Hoffman and Bob Winsko to lead the Tigers to a 75-29 track and field victory over Frackville. Hoffman sprints to wins in the 220 and 440, while Winsko caputres one track event (880) and one field event (high jump). Hoffman also ties for first in the pole vault with teammates Sonny Yankovich and Dan Evans. Yankovich adds a solo first in the javelin, with Evans claiming the broad jump. The winners, coached by Tom Raymer, also receive individual victories from Bill Benyo (shot put) and Marty Kodlick (discus).
