Tamaqua man charged with corruption of minors

A Tamaqua man has been charged with corruption of minors after sending vulgar pictures and videos to a teenager.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Kevin Buck of the Palmerton Borough Police Department:

On Feb. 25, Buck received a report of John Schlauch, 34, sending inappropriate pictures and videos to a 14-year-old boy.

The initial investigation found this was being done via Facebook.com.

Through a search warrant, police discovered that between 12:45 a.m. and 2:21 a.m. Dec. 15, Schlauch had sent 16 pictures of women in different stages of undress, including several that were topless and another engaging in a sex act.

In addition, two videos were sent, one showing several women dancing while undressing to music, and another depicting a female performing a sex act.

Schlauch faces a charge of corruption of minors, and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing May 29 before District Judge William Kissner of Palmerton.
