Police investigate incidents of retail theft

Police throughout the area investigated incidents of retail theft.

• State police at Fogelsville said James Cavanaugh Jr., 31, of Slatington, entered the Target store at 749 N. Knocks Road in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, at 6:12 p.m. on March 8 and placed miscellaneous items into his pockets then left the store without paying for the items.

• Pennsylvania State Police at Fern Ridge said Deshaun Harris, 24, of Long Pond, is charged with taking a lobster tail valued at $11.99 on April 7 from Kinsley’s Shop Rite on Weir Lake Road in Brodheadsville.

• Neil Telafor, 68, of Blakeslee was caught on two separate occasions by video surveillance removing Fresh Step cat litter, valued at $35 and isopropyl alcohol, valued at $2.19 from Kinsley’s Shop Rite. State police at Fern Ridge reported the incident on April 15.
