Lehighton couple celebrating 75th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Creitz of Lehighton recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. They were married on April 1, 1944, by the late Rev. George McKinley at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Palmerton.

Mrs. Creitz is the former Dorothy Arlene Neff, daughter of the late George and Susan Neff.

Mr. Creitz is the son of the late Daniel and Grace Creitz. He served in World War II as a Seabee in the Navy.

Dorothy is a retired garment worker, and Willard is a retired Bethlehem Steel worker.

They have a daughter, Joan, wife of Russell Miller; a granddaughter, Sherry, wife of Michael Rose; and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Bennett Rose.

Willard is the last living member of his immediate family. Dorothy has a sister, Diane Snyder, of Palmerton, and a brother, Franklin Neff, of Parryville.

The Creitzes were honored by the Rev. Bob Troutman and the congregation of All Saints Episcopal Church in Lehighton where they are lifelong members. A beautiful floral arrangement was put in church in honor of this milestone anniversary.

Their extended family helped celebrate their anniversary with a bingo party. An anniversary dinner with their immediate family was held at the Olive Garden in Allentown.
