Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found along a road Monday in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said the body was found in the area of 21 Rapp Road in Butler Township, about 12:30 p.m. by a postal worker. The woman has been identified as Linda McCoy, 30. No address was given.

Troopers said the postal worker called local police who responded. State police were then asked to take over the investigation.

Troopers said the Troop L Major Case Team responded to the scene. No other details were released.

Troopers added that an autopsy is pending.
