A tip led Tamaqua police to arrest a man for driving with a suspended license.

At 5:12 p.m. on March 7 officers learned that Richard David Kennedy, 33, of Tamaqua, was driving a green Honda in the area of South Greenwood and Hazle streets. The car was stopped on Greenwood Street and Kennedy admitted he doesn’t have a valid license.

When he exited the vehicle the officer asked if he had anything illegal on him. Kennedy said that he had a syringe and a bag of methamphetamine. The items were confiscated.
