The Monroe County Conservation District and Northampton Community College invite the public for a day of music, speakers, fun and activities for children at a countywide Earth Day event to celebrate the conservation successes of the past 20-plus years in Monroe County.

The Monroe County Earth Day celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 at NCC Monroe. 2411 Route 715, Tannersville.

The day includes musical entertainment featuring Renard Cohen, The SteelCreek Duo, Delwin Fiddler Jr. and Woodrow.

There will also be children’s activities, a Give and Take sponsored by Close the Loop, electronics recycling and tire amnesty sponsored by The Waste Authority, and speakers and exhibits highlighting local environmental businesses, organizations and agencies.

New this year will be the Pocono Arts Council Earth Speaks Exhibit from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
