Care Net of Carbon County is hosting a 5K Fun Run/Walk on June 1 at the Penn Forest Township Recreational Park along Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

Registration forms are available online at carenetcarbon.org. The event benefits Care Net of Carbon County, a faith-based nonprofit ministry located in Lehighton and Nesquehoning.

Registration fee is $25 for adults until May 1, and $30 after May 1. The registration fee for children under 12 is $15.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt, energy bar, water and a finishers medal.

On the day of the event, check-in will start at 10 a.m. and the run/walk begins at 11 a.m. Participants who solicit sponsors or donations will also be eligible to earn a prize for the highest dollar amount raised.

Care Net is also seeking business sponsors to offset expenses for this event.

For a donation of $50 or more, your business name will be printed on the back of the participant’s shirt.

Food and beverages will also be available for purchase on that day.
