Spaghetti dinner to benefit resident

A spaghetti dinner to help a local resident who needed a bone-marrow transplant will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 189 Church Road, Jim Thorpe this month.

The dinner in honor of Jayne Andrews will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on March 30 to help raise money for her medical expenses, as well as travel and lodging for her family.

Andrews was diagnosed last year with aplastic anemia. She recently had a complete bone marrow transplant and is still under the care of University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Her family has been traveling back and forth to see her.

The all-you-can-eat event is hosted by Michael Solt III and his friends. Takeout is also available.

To donate food or a tricky tray item, or purchase advance tickets, contact Melissa at 570-436-2754 or email soltmissi@gmail.com.
