Two Schuylkill County residents have been charged with stealing secondary metal from a site in the county.

State police at Frackville said John Carboni, 46, and Jennifer Humes, 49, both of Barnesville, have been charged with criminal trespass and theft.

According to troopers, the two suspects entered on the property at 830 Schuylkill Mall Road, the former site of the Schuylkill Mall, in New Castle Township, and removed scrap metal. The two were found on the site at the time of their arrest, troopers noted. The incident occurred on Feb. 20 at 6:34 a.m.

The charges were filed with District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon.
