A Schuylkill County woman is the victim of a phone scam.

State police at Frackville said a 62-year-old woman from New Philadelphia, reported she supplied a total of $900 in Walmart gift cards to an unknown caller claiming to be from Microsoft. The caller claimed the woman had an outstanding bill and said her Microsoft account would be suspended if the bill was not paid. The victim then purchased two Walmart gift cards from the store in Saint Clair and supplied them via the internet to the unknown caller. The incident was reported on Wednesday.
