Schuylkill crashes

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 3:10 p.m. on Feb. 27 along Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township. Troopers said Richard W. Kline, 55, of Pottsville, was driving a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound when he vehicle crossed the dirt median and entered the northbound lane. He continued south in the northbound lane when the Jeep veered off the road at the Mahanoy City exit and struck the guide rail along the shoulder of the road at the exit ramp. The vehicle then ricocheted from impact across the median and came to rest on the north shoulder of the entrance ramp to Route 54,

Kline was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Troopers were assisted at the scene by Mahanoy City EMS unit and volunteers from the Citizens Fire Company of Mahanoy City.

• Another one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:26 a.m. Friday along Route 61 in Blythe Township. Troopers said Daniel D. Oakley, 40, of Frackville, was driving a 2014 Dodge Charger southbound when he claimed he got sick and began vomiting. He lost control of his vehicle, which went onto the berm and impacted with guide rail. Oakley was not injured but his vehicle was towed. He was cited in the crash.

• A third one-vehicle crash was reported on 6:28 a.m. on Saturday along Route 924 in East Union Township. Robert M. Lindsey, 34, of McAdoo, was northbound operating a 2007 Nissan Sentra and going too fast for conditions. The vehicle left the road on the east side and continued to travel through shrubbery and rocks before coming to rest.

Lindsey was not injured.
