GAME NOTES

– The winner of this game will face the No. 2 seed out of District 4 in the PIAA state playoffs, while the loser will take on the No. 2 seed out of District 3. The boys Class 4A first round starts March 8 … Both Colonial League squads fell a game short of the District 11 Class 4A title game as the Warriors and Tigers ran into a pair of highly-touted programs in No. 1 seed Bethlehem Catholic and No. 2 seed Allentown Central Catholic … Wilson and Northwestern met on Jan. 24, with the Tigers surviving a late surge by the Warriors for a 62-59 win. The Tigers had a 25-14 lead at the half, and a 43-32 advantage entering the fourth. The Warriors erupted for 27 points in the fourth, but the Tigers were still able to secure the win. Devin Thomas led a trio of Tigers in double figures with 25 points in that game, while Sam Brown paced the Warriors with 17.

QUOTABLE

- “To us, it’s still an important game even those both teams are moving on to states. Obviously, we would rather be the third seed out of our district than the fourth. So, we’re going to play an important basketball game. Every basketball game we want to win. We are familiar with Wilson, and they’re familiar with us. So, it should be a good game.” - Northwestern head coach Billy Hallman.
