Girardville will host annual St. Patrick’s Day parade

The 16th Annual Girardville Saint Patrick’s Day Parade begins promptly at noon on March 30.

The giant parade features several divisions and 12 bands with numerous additional floats, antique vehicles and special entries. The grand marshals of this year’s parade are the members of the Girardville Good Times Club, longtime sponsors and promoters of civic activities in the community.

Parade day activities begin at 10 a.m. with an Irish Mass at St. Vincent’s Worship Center at Second and C streets in Girardville.

An outdoor celebration will follow the parade at the Hibernian House at Beech and Line streets in the borough. Vendors and food trucks will be located throughout the parade route.

Any organizations interested in participating in the 2019 parade either with marching units, special vehicle or floats can register at www.girardvilleirishparade.com or by calling Joseph Wayne at 570-590-1826 or Joanne Kitsock at 570-617-0400.

The parade committee reminds all businesses and organizations that there is no fee to enter the parade. All parade entries, however, must be registered.

In case of inclement weather, the parade will be held April 6.
