State police at the Lehighton barracks reported they responded to a motor vehicle crash at 8:33 p.m. Friday at the intersection of South Dieter’s Hill Road and Horseshoe Lane in East Penn Township and found the driver of the vehicle to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody and transported for a blood test.

Police said the charges will be filed in magisterial district court pending the lab results.
