Winter storm watch Wednesday

A winter storm watch is in effect from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 8 a.m. Thursday.

Heavy mixed precipitation is possible, with total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch possible. Power outages are possible.

The latest from the National Weather Service:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 21. Light north wind.

Wednesday: Snow, mainly after 10 a.m. High near 31. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Sleet, possibly mixed with snow before 1 a.m., then rain or freezing rain likely between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., then rain likely after 4 a.m. Low around 28. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday: A slight chance of rain before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Light southwest wind becoming west 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 43.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Saturday: A chance of rain and snow before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
