Few, if any, would think of the Carbon County Adult Probation Department as an agency which helps prevent crime. By monitoring criminals and offenders in the county, agency officials hope to prevent the repeating of crimes and convicted offenders.

Under the direction of Anthony Harvilla, the department operates under a concept of providing quality time with clients, trying to help them secure assistance with finances, housing and basic living skills, all designed to keep the offender from coming back into the system.
