February 8, 1988 — Tom McLaughlin collects a game-high 27 points as Marian rallies from a deficit to gain a 75-71 victory over Minersville. McLaughlin tallies 21 points of his points in the second half to aid the team’s comeback. The Colts, coached by Sid Llera, trail by seven late in the third quarter. After tying the contest with just over a minute left, Rob Eckenrode gives Marian the lead with a pair of free throws. McLaughlin adds a layup and two foul shots to seal the win. Eckenrode finishes with 12 points, while Tom Marsilio adds 12 points and 11 rebounds. Scott Stoffey chips in with 11 points.
