State police at Frackville reported investigating two crashes on Tuesday along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.

The first crash was reported at 7:40 a.m. southbound in Delano Township. Robin M. Winters, 47, of Dalton, Lackawanna County, was driving a 2015 Ford Fiesta when a tractor-trailer crossed into her lane of travel. In an attempt to avoid a collision Winters veered to the right and lost control. The Ford went onto the right berm and into a ditch, where it came to rest. Winters was not injured.

The second crash occurred at 8:58 a.m. in the southbound lanes in Butler Township. Amy B. Hutchinson, 41, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2017 Jeep Cherokee when she lost control. The Jeep traveled onto the right berm and onto a grassy area where it hit a tree and came to rest.

Hutchinson was not injured. She was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
