NW’s Bollinger named to All-State football team

Northwestern quarterback Deven Bollinger has been named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State team.

Bollinger, a junior, led the Tigers to a 9-3 record and a berth in the District 11 Class 4A playoffs.

The 6-4, 195-pounder had an outstanding season as Northwestern’s signal-caller. He completed 111 passes in 202 attempts, throwing for 1,998 yards. He also tossed 30 touchdown passes while only being intercepted three times.

In addition to his passing numbers, he ran 192 times for 881 yards and 16 scores. For good measure, he also caught a 17-yard TD pass.

The PFW All-State teams were released Thursday for Class 2A, 4A, and 6A schools.
