A 42-year-old woman from Belvidere, New Jersey, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after state police at the Stroudsburg barracks responded to a suspicious vehicle report at 7:04 p.m. Friday along Route 611 in Hamilton Township.

Police said they were informed of a suspicious-looking 2002 Chevrolet in the parking lot of the Giant store, 3578 State Route 611. Through the investigation, police said they found the woman to be in possession of the drugs and related paraphernalia.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Corrections Facility in Snydersville.
