Arrests reported by state police

State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

On Sunday around 6:45 p.m. troopers responded to the Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Lower Towamensing Township for a report of a theft. A 34-year-old woman from Nazareth reported her cell phone as stolen from the lodge area. Security personnel supplied video surveillance footage and a photo of the suspect.

As a result, troopers charged Angel Prieto-Colon, 60, of Allentown, with theft.

On Nov. 23 about 9:31 a.m. troopers made a traffic stop along White Street at Fireline Road in Bowmanstown for numerous traffic violations. Troopers said the driver, a 23-year-old man from Lehighton who troopers declined to identify, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges to be filed.

A traffic stop was made on Nov. 22 at 12:11 a.m. along Indian Hill Road at Overlook Drive in Franklin Township, Carbon County. The vehicle was operated by a 62-year-old man from Morgantown, Berks County, who police declined to identify. He was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed.
