A Monroe County man is facing charges in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Alexander DeBernardo, 36, of Tobyhanna, has been charged with terroristic threats. Troopers said a 32-year-old woman from Weissport, reported he was sending threatening text messages to her. She told officers she was scared and wanted the messages to stop. Charges were filed.

Troopers also reported a 57-year-old man from Jim Thorpe, who they declined to identify, was charged with harassment - threat of physical contact, after a 57-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe, reported on Nov. 9 that the man made gestures that made her fearful of physical contact. Charges were filed.
