Former area athletes named to Landmark Academic Honor Roll

Seven former area student-athletes have been named to the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Moravian College accounted for five of the selections, while one each were named at Susquehanna University and The University of Scranton.

Greyhounds selected included Northern Lehigh graduates Gavin Kemery and Aaron Hofmann (men’s cross country), Northwestern grads Rachel Mikols (women’s cross country) and Emily Renner (women’s soccer), and Tamaqua product Riley McHugh (men’s soccer).

For the River Hawks, former Northern Lehigh athlete Veronica Green (field hockey) was recognized, as was Royals cross country runner and Northwestern grad Brooke Devers.

A total of 365 student-athletes in the conference received recognition. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

A remarkable 56 seniors, one of them Hofmann, have been named to the Honor Roll all three years they have been eligible.
