A winter weather advisory remains in effect from noon today to 9 a.m. Friday.

Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations up to 4 to 6 inches and ice accumulations up to one or two tenths of an inch.

The storm will begin this afternoon into early Friday. The leading edge of the wintry precipitation is expected to progress slowly northward through the region during the early afternoon hours.

Expect slippery road conditions, which may affect the evening commute, as well as the commute on Friday morning.
