Lansford Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a self-identified gang member wanted on felony aggravated assault charges.

Jonathan Julio Perez, 34, is wanted for an incident which occurred on Thursday in the borough. He fled the scene on foot.

In addition to aggravated assault, Perez is wanted on felony strangulation and other charges.

According to Lansford Police, Perez was most recently living in the borough, but has connections to the Mount Pocono area.

Police believe that he obtained a change of clothes, and contacted associates to obtain a ride out of the area.

Perez is identified as a hispanic male, about 5’7” and 210 pounds. He allegedly identifies as a member of the Latin Kings street gang.

Residents are asked to call 911 immediately if they see Perez, and do not attempt to approach him.
