Photo safari in Lansford Thursday night

Howard Tokosh, formerly of Lansford, will present a lecture and slide show of his African photo safari.

The event will take place Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Lansford Historical Society Museum.

Mr. Tokosh is a world traveler and has visited over sixty countries. On this trip he visited Kafue National Park, Zambia, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The trip concluded in South Africa with a visit to Cape Town to see Table Rock.

See photos of lions, leopards, elephants, jackals, hippos and more. Hears stories of lions roaring outside his tent, being chased by a hippopotamus and seeing rare African Painted Wild dogs chasing down, killing and eating a kudu.

The presentation will take about one hour and will be followed by a question and answer period.

The museum is located at 117 East Bertsch St., Lansford. There is no charge for the program. However, donations are accepted.
