A home was destroyed by fire this afternoon along Chestnut Drive South in Ross Township, Monroe County.

The initial dispatch was a working dwelling fire with entrapment. Fire officials at the scene confirmed all of the occupants escaped the flames safely. No injuries were reported in the incident. Firefighters faced flames and heavy smoke when arriving on scene.

The sprawling one-story single family wood frame home was a total loss.
