Two charged after vehicle stop

Two Summit Hill residents are facing drug charges following a vehicle stop made by borough police.

On Oct. 12, at 10:09 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle eastbound on West Holland Street for an equipment violation.

The officer made contact with the driver, Kyle M. Bruno, 20, and his passenger, Jonathan Murray, 19.

The officer noted the odor of burned marijuana coming from the vehicle. Permission to search the vehicle was obtained. A small bag containing suspected marijuana and a glass pipe with burned marijuana residue were found in a backpack on the floor next to Murray.

Police charged Bruno and Murray each with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
