Holiday Arts Festival at Skytop Nov. 24-25

Autumn is here. Before we know it, the holiday season will be upon us, and along with it, the 14th Annual Holiday Arts Festival at Skytop Lodge, presented by the Pocono Mountain Arts Council.

This shopping and browsing event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 24 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 25.

There will be many new exhibitors this year, along with popular returning artists and artisans, all of whom will be bringing new pieces for you to view.

This event — with no admission charge — is now a Thanksgiving weekend tradition for many folks — cozy and low-key, in the relaxed and elegant environment of the Executive Conference Center at Skytop Lodge.

It’s is a great way to browse, shop, and chat with the artists and artisans who have created the pieces.

Artisans from many disciplines will be exhibiting their crafts. There will be fine furniture, wildlife wood carvings, pottery, glasswork, polymer clay and ceramic tile pieces, jewelry and more.

The fine arts will be represented by gifted photographers and by artists whose work ranges over a wide variety of styles and mediums.

Continuing the tradition of supporting young artists, the event will again showcase the developing artwork of students from the members of Pocono Homeschoolers Association. This year’s emerging artist, Michele Cronin, is an alumni of this home-schoolers’ group.
