October 29, 1976 — Tamaqua’s Wayne Schickram sets a new school record with 254 rushing yards as the Blue Raiders roll to a 46-0 victory over Shenandoah Valley. Schickram scores three touchdowns in the contest, including an 84-yarder in the first quarter. He adds a 12-yarder in the second frame and a 19-yarder in the third. Frank Inama adds a pair of scores on runs of six and 14 yards. The Blue Raiders, coached by Walt Ligenza, also receive scoring runs from Keith Zimmerman and Bryan Geiger. Tamaqua finishes the contest with 507 yards of offense.
