‘Ask Your Neighbor’ cookbook buffet planned

The “Ask Your Neighbor” Cookbook Buffet will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Coaldale Fire Company to benefit the American Cancer Society telethon.

The food event, sponsored by the Cancer Telethon Committee, will offer a variety of food items from the original recipes shared on the “Ask Your Neighbor” radio show on WLSH back in the 1970s. American Cancer Society volunteers, from left, are Mary Ann Dulaney, Joe Krushinsky, Donna Valent, Chad Gerber and Yvonne Stoffey, event chairwoman.

Menu items include German green bean soup, dinner chowder, chicken divan, marinated kielbasi, lettuce salad with Russian dressing, pineapple carrots, scalloped potatoes, beef casserole, mac, tomato and cheese casserole as well as a variety of dessert selections.
