Kurash opens the scoring on the first play of the second quarter when, on fourth down, he snares a 3-yard TD toss from Lou Higgins. The Nesquers, coached by Tony Mezza, add an insurance score in the third frame when Kurash hauls in a 13-yard touchdown strike from Bob Drigan. The winners receive an outstanding effort from their defense, led by ends Kurash and Metro Yurchak, holding the Raiders to just 12 yards of total offense.
