1 to 2 inches of rain today

The National Weather Service says occasional moderate to heavy rain may lead to localized flooding today.

According to Accuweather, enough rain may fall in this area to cause regional flooding of roads and streams, as well as significant river rises. Gusty winds will accompany the rain in this region. Winds can be strong enough to topple trees and cause power outages.

Today: Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog between 10am and noon. High near 76. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11pm and 3am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. West wind 6 to 11 mph becoming north 13 to 18 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Northwest wind 9 to 16 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of showers after 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 53. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
