Lehigh Valley Health Network will administer free seasonal flu vaccinations for the 21st straight year for adults and children 6 months and older during two community sessions in November. Shots will be all drive-thru at Dorney Park on Nov. 3 and at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown on Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

LVHN is partnering with area food banks and shelters including the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley, Allentown Rescue Mission, Transitional Living Center Program and the Comprehensive Health Services food pantry at Lehigh Valley Hospital-17th Street to accept donations of unexpired, nonperishable food items during each of the drive-thru sessions. Those who choose to donate food are urged to check the expiration date and only bring items that have not expired and are nonperishable.

Volunteers will collect other items to assist those in need in our community. These include things like diapers, personal hygiene products — toothbrushes, for example — and wipes.
