The Pleasant Valley field hockey, girls soccer, and volleyball teams picked up victories on Monday.

BOYS SOCCER

Palmerton-Palisades

Palisades blanked Palmerton in a Colonial League match, 5-0.

Grayson Deiley had a hat-trick for Palisades.

No. Lehigh-Catasauqua

Catasauqua earned a Colonial League win over Northern Lehigh, 3-1.

Eli Jackovitz scored the Bulldogs’ goal.

FIELD HOCKEY

PM West-Pleasant Vy.

Pleasant Valley edged Pocono Mountain West in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference battle, 2-1.

Meara Hanyon and Trisha Dominick scored for the Bears, who also got an assist from Julia Butchkoski.

Kendyl Ramsay and Emma Strohl split the goaltending duties for PV with Ramsay making one save and Strohl two.

Berwick-Lehighton

Lehighton rolled to a 7-1 non-league win against Berwick.

Gabbie Szozda had two goals to lead the Indians.

Karissa Hough, Makenzie Hoats, Olivia Frendt, Jade Schleicher and Brooke Schleicher each chipped in goals.

Palmerton-Bangor

Bangor topped Palmerton in Colonial League action, 4-2.

Ava Recker and Saylor Burke scored for the Bombers.

Salisbury-No. Lehigh

Salisbury defeated Northern Lehigh in a Colonial League match, 3-1.

Rachel Nonnemacher had the Bulldogs’ lone goal, while Madison Posivak provided the assist.

VOLLEYBALL

Northwestern-Lehighton

Lehighton edged Northwestern in five sets 22-25, 25-11, 17-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Lillian Brown led the Tribe with 44 digs and seven aces, including her 1,000th career dig.

Samantha Banning added 30 digs and 14 aces; Alyssa Frey chipped in 24 assists and 10 digs; Emily Miller had 11 kills and five aces; and Sydney Vincent had 10 kills, seven digs, and four aces.

Pleasant Vy.-ES North

Pleasant Valley swept East Stroudsburg North in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference match 25-11, 25-4, 25-12.

Cameron Caffrey (21 assists, five kills) and Desi Powell (14 kills, five digs, four aces) combined to lead the Bears. Summer Karaman added four kills and three digs; Ari Weaver had eight kills and four aces; and Ari Thourot contributed 13 assists.

Mahanoy Area-Panther Vy.

Panther Valley kept its record perfect with a 25-13, 28-26, 17-25, 25-20 non-league victory over Mahanoy Area.

The Panthers (14-0) received 13 kills, 13 assists, two digs and a pair of aces from Jenna Dubosky, while Erika Dubosky added 11 kills and 13 assists.

Olivia Dacey contributed 10 kills, eight digs and two aces to the PV win, with Sarah Zabroski contributing 18 assists. Rachelle Filer chipped in with four kills and a pair of aces.

Panther Valley also posted a 2-0 victory in the JV match.

Tamaqua-Sch. Haven

Tamaqua topped Schuylkill Haven 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-13.

For the Raiders, Emily Amershek had 12 kills and two digs; Ella McLaughlin added 17 digs; Maddie Baddick had 11 assists, three aces, and five kills; and Kaydee Romig finished with eight kills and two aces.

GIRLS SOCCER

PM East-Pleasant Vy.

Pleasant Valley edged Pocono Mountain East in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference battle, 1-0.

The Bears’ Kelly Whalen had the game’s only goal.

Sam Merklin pitched a shutout in the Pleasant Valley goal with nine saves.

The Bears are now 11-5-1 overall and 10-4-1 conference.

Palmerton-Pen Argyl

Pen Argyl blanked Palmerton 2-0 in a Colonial League contest.

Delaney Porter and Brooke LaBarre each scored goals for the Green Knights.

JR. HIGH BASKETBALL

7TH GRADE

Tamaqua-North Schuylkill

Tamaqua knocked off North Schuylkill, 22-19.

Carly Minchhoff had 10 points for the Raiders, while Lorelei Plasha contributed six.
