A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for a violation of the liquor code.

Corvin Inc., 32 W. Fourth St., Jim Thorpe, was cited on May 4 for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging form $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition the judge can also impose a license suspension of revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
