On Wednesday, Eldred Township supervisors approved the hiring of Frank Fehlinger to replace public works supervisor Keith Kuehner, who resigned last month. Fehlinger was hired at a rate of $25 per hour with benefits to begin immediately upon start of work.

Kuehner was hired as a consultant at a rate of $22 per hour to assist in the transition.

The supervisors approved the purchase of anti-litter signs for $850 and a new two-way radio base station for a not-to-exceed amount of $2,500.
