September 4, 1998 — Palmerton’s Jeff Dobias sets a new course record at the Moravian Academy Invitational as the Blue Bombers finish second behind Stroudsburg. Dobias runs a 16:06 to place first and break the old Moravian Academy course mark. A total of 10 schools compete at the event. Palmerton’s Matt Beck and Jonathan Andrews also place in the top 10, with Beck taking sixth in 17:57 and Andrews finishing seventh in 18:15. The Blue Bomber girls earn a third-place finish, with Megan Stricker ending sixth.
