Thanks to the state of Pennsylvania

I, Lorri Cockrell, wish to give my total appreciation to the state of Pennsylvania and all the wonderful people we met during our 10 years here for medical reasons. We left Alaska 10 years for a treatment in New Jersey for a condition called RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) in which this disease was too severe for Alaska to care for.

After several states and top medical institutes, we finally found the angel of my daughter’s life in St. Luke’s in Bethlehem. Several medical doctors became part of my daughter’s illness and then another illness that would take her life. But before her departing from all of us and myself, she took the time to share her struggle to fight and stay strong even in the amount of pain she was in.

I also wish to thank the medical teams and friends who helped my son before he departed from me too in August. Thank you for the wonderful friends who took the time to be our family while away from Alaska. We are totally grateful and will remain in my heart for ever. I do have a part of Pennsylvania here, a wonderful grandson who I will happily include in my commercial fishing business in Alaska.

Again, my heart is grateful for all your help and kindness.

Lorri Cockrell and Departed Samantha and James Cockrell Jr.
