September 1, 2001 — Ray Keshel’s 12-yard touchdown run in the second overtime lifts Northwestern to a 34-31 Colonial League victory over Salisbury. Keshel ends with 102 yards on 13 carries for the Tigers, coached by Bob Mitchell. Austin Bleam adds 71 yards on the ground and a pair of scores in regulation, while Reid Schellhamer also reaches the end zone on a 16-yard carry. The winners, who rebound from an early 14-0 deficit to force OT, receive a TD run from quarterback Roland Kern in the first extra period to set up Keshel’s heroics.
