A Lansford man faces a rape charge after he sexually assaulted a female.

Lansford police charged David Joseph Robinson, 30, with rape of an unconscious person and indecent assault for an incident that took place on Aug. 30.

According to an affidavit, Robinson wanted to have sex with the victim but she refused, so while she was asleep, he sexually assaulted her.

He admitted through text messages to the victim that he was trying to have sex with her, but she wouldn’t wake up.
