August 31, 1984 — Lehighton rallies late in the fourth quarter to break a tie and gain a 20-14 victory over Panther Valley in both team’s season opener. Indians quarterback Tom Keer, on a third-and-long with 1:31 to play, breaks several tackles and heaves a pass to Guido Dominic, who takes the ball to the PV 6-yard-line. Three plays later, Todd Steigerwalt bulls into the end zone from a yard out with 1:00 left to give Lehighton the lead. Keer runs for a 63-yard touchdown earlier in the contest and also tosses a 25-yard scoring strike to Mike Semmel.
